Beal formally served as CEO and General Manager of Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), a conservation and reclamation district which provides wholesale electricity, transmission services, water and river management, water and wastewater utilities and community services to more than 1.4 million Central Texans. Prior to joining LCRA, Beal was senior vice president for an international engineering and environmental consulting firm. He is a registered professional engineer and executive manager with 40 years of national and international infrastructure development experience. A resident of Bastrop, Texas, Beal earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Texas Tech University and his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
