Vermont Electric Power Company (VELCO). Donleavy has nearly 30 years experience in the electric and gas utility industry with demonstrated accomplishments in all technical and operational aspects of generation, transmission and distribution. Donleavy is leading the reconstruction of VELCO’s transmission system, which is one of only four such transmission-only company systems in the nation. Prior to joining VELCO, Donleavy held a number of managerial positions at both Exelon Corporation and Public Service Electric & Gas. His leadership in change management and strategic planning initiatives have resulted in the turnaround and stabilization of multiple large organizations. A resident of Dorset, Vermont, Donleavy earned his bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College and his Distinguished Associates Diploma from the Government Institutes.
