Arcadian Networks said it will make the 700 MHz spectrum it owns available to first responders through the "private, secure, wireless network" it's already offering to utilities.
Closely held Arcadian, backed by Goldman Sachs, said in a written statement it wants to address the problem highlighted by Frontline Wireless, which said two weeks ago it wouldn't bid in the 700 MHz auction. Arcadian owns 700Mhz spectrum covering more than 75 percent of the continental U.S. and the Gulf of Mexico.
